Under immediate supervision, provides a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations, processes guest orders that are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied and responds to additional requests. Maintains cleanliness of front-of-the-house area, clear tables after guests leave; removes litter; mops floors; and cleans service areas. May be required to provide assistance in the kitchen, receive deliveries, and restock supplies as necessary.

1. Ability to accurately and efficiently take and place all food orders with the kitchen according to standard procedures.

2. Ability to answer questions about cooking methods, menu items, specials and prices.

4. Ability to follow opening and closing tab procedures accurately.

Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Incumbent is exposed to radiation, and dust/mites, hazards and exposed to extreme heat.

Incumbent must be TABC certified, attend Project SAVE and pass drug and alcohol test.

The above knowledge, skills and abilities may be demonstrated by a high school education or the equivalency with no experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Successful completion of the physical specified for the position. (Refer to Physical Standards File in Employment.) Must obtain a valid TABC certification and attend Project SAVE prior to employment. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Food Handlers Permit.
